Making Knots is a collection inspired by the eponymous installation by Gian Paolo Venier and Giorgio Biscaro exhibited in the LeStanze showroom during Milan Design Week 2024. The installation was conceived and realised in support of Made51, the humanitarian porgramme to support artisans fleeing war territories, and the UNHCR, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The artisans' works, mainly weavings and yarns, are in fact transformed by Venier and Biscaro into pom-poms and braids, and then into upholstery for a furnishing accessory, an ADJ Style vase, a colourful wallpaper with an abstract subject, and decorative works realised with fine art techniques. The wallpapers and paintings find their commercial collocation within the new Spaghetti Wall 2024 collections; the profits from the sale of these items will be donated by the company to support the United Nations humanitarian projects for refugees.
